Our friend from Andhra (South India) introduced us to this chutney called palli pachadi in Telugu. Its quickly become one of my favorite and kind of must have with Dosai and idali.Our version of palli pachadi is with less red chilies, add more if you like to make it bit spicy. Peanut chutney | Groundnut Chutney| Palli Pachadi
Ingredients
- 200 gm peanuts
- 2-3 Red chilies
- 1/2 medium onion
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
- 1 tablespoon oil chutney
- 1 pinch asafetida powder
- 1/2 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds.
- 5-6 curry leaves.
- 1-2 red chilies Optional
Instructions
- Heat the pan and add peanuts, roast it till it become light golden brown.(1-2 minutes)
- Heat oil in Pan and add asafetida,onion,garlic,red chilies and peanuts.
- Cook for 2 minutes( Medium heat)
- Keep it aside for few minutes( till the mixture cool down) . Grid the mixture and make smooth paste.
- For seasning, heat the oil in pan , add asafetida , mustard seeds,red chilies and curry leaves.
- Pour the mixture on chutney and mix it well.
- Palli pachadi is ready in no time.
