We all love to spend time with our friends and family with a cup of tea or masala chai. Tea connects souls.😊 I know It is too much, but really I feel that way. I mean whatever mood you are in, the moment you have one sip of hot tea, it gives you a feeling that everything is going to be alright. I always prefer a company for tea, especially when with my team members and colleagues. Somehow it helps to break the ice. And you never know you end making a life long friend.

Tea feels like a blessing in winter. We used to go back to our bed after brushing the teeth early morning because of the cold shivering weather. and then there is a long 30 minutes gossip session with my mom and my sister with a hot cup of tea. It was mostly about what we are going to do today, task priority etc. There are so many wonderful memories. This is something wonderful about tea, a small cup helps you to create a life long memory and friends. Never underestimate the power of tea, no matter what people say to you.

Masala chai is part of my best memories with my friends and family. It brings all of us together. The moment you have a cup of tea, your mind automatically takes you to the living room where everyone is sitting, and there is a beginning of the endless chat. Now I just try to recall those moments while I am sitting alone at home having tea. I miss my friends and family. But a hot cup of tea connects me to my roots. I know it sounds too much, but that’s how much masala tea vital to me.

There are different variations of tea, I like.

1. Ginger Tea

2. Masala Tea

3. Elaichi Tea(cardamom)

You can make it with only ginger or by adding only Elaichi if you don’t want to add so many masalas to your tea. Simply use store-bought Tea Masala powder. Some prefer to steeping first in the water, but I like to mix all the ingredients and bring it to a boil. Honestly not much different to me, and also it is quick to make. If you have a Thulasi plant at home(Indian Basil) then add 2-3 Thulasi leaves. It is the best cure for sour throat and sinus. In India Thulasi considered to be the holy and ayurvedic (Herbal remedy) plant.

My friends, here in Malaysia often ask about the recipe for Indian Masala Tea. I thought, why not start my YouTube channel with my favourite masala tea. It’s quick and straightforward to make. I take masala tea every day. My breakfast is incomplete without it. It is full of antioxidants and trusts me. It is one of the best home remedies for the sour throat or the sinus blocking your nose badly. Just add a little bit more black pepper powder then usual if you have a cough and cold.

Biscuits and rusks are very popular team time snacks in India. Specially Parley G. On a funny note, if you remember those movie shots where actors are dipping the biscuits inside the tea. Quite challenging though, if you are late by 2 seconds you may lose the biscuit inside the cup, and it melts very quickly. Rusks too are very popular, specially in my hometown. There is a very popular bakery shop called Nafees Bakery. Their rusks are very popular. I think you will find it in every house where people love tea.

Ingredients

  • 1 Teaspoon Tea Powder Any indian tea
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Grated Ginger
  • 1 Cm Cinnamon stick or 1 pingh cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 Pinch Black Pepper Powder Optional
  • 1/2 Piece Cardamom

Instructions

  • Boil water and milk.
  • Add all the ingredients.
  • Boil it over medium flame until bubble starts to raise.
  • Turn of the stove.
  • Strain the tea in the the cup.
