Italian Parmesan oregano bread

Delicious Italian Parmesan oregano bread – a perfect bread to any meal.

Italian Parmesan oregano bread is the most delicious Bread I have ever backed. I love eating at Subway, and the best part is you choose ingredients and make your own sandwich. Trust me, it’s a paradise for the vegetarian in Kuala Lumpur because only a few fast-food restaurants serve veg burger here.

This rustic Italian Bread is moist, chewy, and Full of Flavor. We love this Bread sliced thick for sandwiches made with fresh mozzarella and tomato, and it goes so well with soup and salad.

Italian Parmesan Oregano is a basic, easy to make, and satisfying bread. The best part of making this Bread is the aroma it spreads in your house. You feel like you are in a Subway restaurant.

How to Make the Glaze for Italian Parmesan oregano bread and What it Adds to the Flavour?

Making the Glaze is the most important part of this recipe, but the easiest one as well. It is a simple mix of Garlic powder, oregano, Grated parmesan cheese and olive oil.

Garlic powder is a common spice that adds Flavor to food. It is often used in Italian dishes like pasta and pizza.
Oregano is also a popular spice, adding Flavor to a dish and aiding digestion.
Parmesan cheese is one of the most common cheeses used because it tastes delicious in every dish or sauce.
Olive oil has been found to reduce heart disease by lowering cholesterol levels and improving blood pressure levels. You can make this tasty treat by mixing these ingredients with some salt or without salt!

Some notes

  1. Use the measuring cup for bread flour and water
  2. Use warm water to activate the yeast, not the hot water.
  3. Try to add water little by little when you knead the dough.
  4. Spray some water around the bread or inside the oven when before you place the tray to bake the bread.
  5. or just place a separate tray filled with water below the baking tray(if you have a big multi-rack oven)

I just made this today! Fantastic recipe. I wished I could share the photos!

  8. If you double recipe, you will be able to get 4 loaves that has the shape of Subway bread. By using a half sheet pan and rolling out dough the lenght of the baking sheet then place side by side (the long way) on the sheet. Make sure the spacing each bread is equal. This will allow for height and to maintain shape.

Wow! Thanks for posting this. I made this bread according to instructions, and other than the oven temperature/time, it was FANTASTIC! My house smelled like Subway ALL DAY! The first loaf to come out of the oven was consumed immediately, and it was so delicious!

I’m not a proficient bread maker, but both tries with this were edible, the first try was amazing (had issues with the second attempt, but that was operator error, not because of the recipe). I posted photos of my results (and one of my sandwiches I made with it) at my blog, freefunorinteresting.wordpress.com, if you were interested in checking them out 🙂

I live in the US, and have an oven thermometer, and it is my opinion that the stated temperature and times are not accurate. After 30 minutes at 225 F, I still had an undercooked, pale loaf… I had to turn up the temperature to ~325 for the loaf to brown like it was supposed to. Otherwise…. amazing!

Thank you so much for sharing!

OH! I also wanted to say that I’m thinking the ‘topping’ would be phenomenal on a slice of home made white bread, popped in the oven to brown up a little, as an alternative to normal ‘garlic bread’… can’t wait to try that, too!

Eupeans baked their bread at 180-200 degrees Celsius. That is somewhere between 380-420 degrees F which is the scale of a U.S. ovens. I think that was your problem, just under cooking the first time.

I’m impressed by people/baker who can come up with bread recipe.  As a non-baker myself, it’s always a mystery to me – I can fix meals by tasting it while cooking, but for bread… I guess it’s trial and error?  So I am thankful for people who make delicious bread recipe and share it with us.  This bread looks so delicious and goes well with any kind of sandwiches!
